College-Bound High School Seniors & Parents!   START SMART and FINISH STRONG! Tuesday, November 13th   6:00-8:00 p.m.  Informational Session   COLLEGE  BOUND SENIORS! Attending college requires a huge commitment of time, effort, and money.   Protect yourself and your investment by being as prepared as possible on DAY ONE of your first college semester. If you are a college-bound, graduating senior, come learn about the many ways YOU can prepare NOW before attending your first college class.  Plan now to START SMART in college. * Learn about the differences between high school & college. * Understand time and money management; develop a strong work-life balance. * Acquire collegiate habits and study techniques such as effective note taking, reading skills, organization, classroom strategies, and engagement/collaboration with others. * Utilize valuable and often free resources. * Minimize digital distractions, multitasking, and anxiety, especially test anxiety, by enhancing your self-regulation and attention skills. Train your brain. * Create balance by incorporating mindful and social-emotional strategies, a healthy diet, and exercise into your daily routine.  Learn to slow down and pay attention to what really matters!
